Requirement
The Orontide Group is a leading Western Australian company providing specialist engineering and maintenance services to the oil and gas, defence, mining and marine industries. Orontide already had a well established base in the Henderson industrial precinct and approached Eastcourt to develop a new corporate office and engineering facility.
Solution
Eastcourt's development team worked closely with Orrontide to construct and lease a new standalone corporate head quarters of 1000 sqm and an engineering workshop of 2400 sqm.
The planning phase included:
- wide consultation with operational staff and other stakeholders;
- working carefully to ensure the design would achieve all objectives and meet operational requirements; and
- negotiating with Orontide's legal and other consultants
A number of requested changes were accommodated during construction including specialised modification of workshop floors and upsized crane capacity.
An excellent relationship was developed with Orontide before and during construction, and has continued to flourish as ongoing and regular contact between landlord and tenant is maintained.
